horrordisco.com keeps browser storage minimal. Necessary local preferences can be stored without marketing consent. Optional full measurement, which covers analytics with a remembered visitor id, session recordings, and ads measurement, is off unless you choose it through the site banner or on a drop page. You can change that browser-side choice on this page or by contacting info@horrordisco.com.
Necessary storage
The site may use localStorage for display preferences such as light or dark mode. The consent banner and drop pages may set hd_ads_consent to remember whether Meta measurement is allowed. A related hd_consent_session cookie stores a browser/session identifier for the consent proof record and does not contain contact details.
First-party attribution
Campaign links may set hd_campaign for up to seven days so later first-party actions such as plays, downloads, platform clicks, and signups can be connected to the campaign. It stores a campaign slug only, not contact details, and does not load third-party pixels without ads-measurement consent.
Site analytics
The site uses PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand which songs and pages people enjoy. Without consent, analytics runs in an anonymous mode: events are not linked across days and nothing is stored in your browser. With full measurement consent, a random visitor id is stored in localStorage (keys starting with ph_) so return visits can be counted, and sessions may be recorded with typed input masked. The id is random and is never connected to your name, email, or account.
Meta measurement
Meta Pixel is not loaded until ads measurement consent is granted. After consent, Meta may set cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. Those values may also be sent through Meta Conversions API with matching event IDs so browser and server events can be deduplicated.
External platforms
Stream, buy, social, and app-store links leave Horror Disco pages. The destination platform controls its own cookies and tracking after the click.
